Pro Accesso gets favorable rulings from the CPT that generate rules for the partial disbursement of information
The foundation made requests for information from six public institutions that refused to comply, citing personal data reserves, among other aspects, as reasons for not delivering. However, after the claims of Pro Acceso, the Transparency Council rejected the agencies’ arguments, stating that although these may be private records, the required information can be delivered "by striking" such private content. These verdicts set precedent for the process of data dissociation.

"Chile needs an institutionalism of data protection," said attorney Frederick Allendes, president of Pro Acceso, after learning the results of Pro Acceso’s study, which revealed that 48% of public organizations transfer the personal data of Chilean citizens to other institutions.
The Press echoes a new study by Fundación Pro Acceso about personal data
The study, "Personal Data Protection in the Public Sector", published this week, has already had its first impact. Television channels and print media have given coverage to its release and have taken it as a point of measure for Chile’s contingency, especially in light of everything related to the La Polar case.
It was El Mercurio first, then came TVN, and finally CNN Chile. Three of the principle media outlets of the country have echoed the recent study by Fundación Pro Acceso, "Protection of Personal Data in the Public Sector" , a document that accounts for the major flaws in the system regarding the management, control, and use of personal information of millions of Chileans by public entities.

Moises Sanchez, along with other experts in the field of transparency, participated in a conference whose objective was to support the Brazilian government in developing effective strategies relating to access to information. UNESCO, in collaboration with the Comptroller General of the Union, organized the event.
To support the Brazilian government in developing strategies and adopting practices to ensure the effective implementation of the system of access to public information. This was the objective of the "International Seminar on Access to Information: Challenges of Implementation" held on the 7th and 8th of July, in Brasilia, Brazil.

A Study by Pro Acceso Reveals Deficiencies in the Management of Public Service Databases
An investigation by Pro Acceso found a number of shortcomings in the monitoring and recording of personal data of citizens by government entities. Pro Acceso observes the compliance and non-compliance of the obligation that public and private institutions have to register information databases pertaining to the transfer of data to the Civil Register. Pro Acceso calls for more oversight over the registration of this information.
